His real name is Austin Tyler Reaves. He was born on 29 May 1998 in Newark, Arkansas, United States. He studied at Cedar Ridge High School in Newark, Arkansas, where he helped his team win two straight Class 2A state championships in his first two years.
In one game against Forrest City High School, he scored an incredible 73 points during triple overtime. He was named the state tournament MVP after averaging 43.3 points across four games.
He also earned Class 3A All-State honors twice. On January 20, 2016, he chose to play college basketball for Wichita State, turning down offers from South Dakota State and Arkansas State.

He hit seven three-pointers in one half, setting a new school record. In his sophomore year, he averaged 8.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, with a 42.5% success rate from three-point range.
After his sophomore year, he moved to Oklahoma but had to sit out a season because of transfer rules. On March 7, 2020, he scored a career-best 41 points, along with six assists and five rebounds, in a 78–76 win over TCU.
