She first played in a WTA Tour main draw at the Hamburg European Open, where she got a wildcard entry in doubles and teamed up with Noma Noha Akugue.
She later made her singles debut on the WTA Tour at the 2022 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart after coming through the qualifying rounds.
Her first appearance at a Grand Slam came at the Australian Open, where she lost in the opening round to Cristina Bucșa in a close three-set match.
After making it through qualifying, she earned her first Grand Slam win at the 2023 US Open, beating wildcard Robin Montgomery in her debut.
That same year, she reached her first WTA Tour semifinal at the Transylvania Open in Romania, where she was defeated by fellow German Tamara Korpatsch, who went on to win the title.
On July 22, 2024, she climbed to a new career-high singles ranking of world No. 108.
