When he was only six months old, the family moved to Canada and later settled in Brossard, Quebec, where he was first introduced to Saturday Night Live.

His calculus teacher in high school, Adrian Holguin, also coached him in the school’s improv comedy team called Spontaneous Combustion.

He finished high school in 2008. During his final year, he was chosen as homecoming king and was also voted most likely to appear on Saturday Night Live in the school yearbook. He completed his graduation from New York University.
