Kyle Filipowski began his high school basketball journey at Minisink Valley in New York, then moved to Fordham Prep in The Bronx after his freshman year. He later transferred to Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Massachusetts, where he shined and was named the 2021 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state.
At Duke University, Kyle made a strong impact as a freshman, averaging 15.1 points and 9 rebounds per game, leading all Division I freshmen with 16 double-doubles. He had standout performances against top teams like Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, and North Carolina, and was named MVP of the ACC Tournament after helping Duke beat Virginia in the final.
In July 2021, he committed to Duke over schools like Syracuse and Ohio State. In the 2024 NBA Draft, Kyle was picked 32nd overall by the Utah Jazz and signed with the team on August 12. During his rookie year, he’s also spent time developing with the Salt Lake City Stars, the Jazz’s G League affiliate.
